CASTEL GANDOLFO 2 km In the middle of the Regional Parco dei Castelli Romani, and perched on the rim of the crater lake of Lago Albano, this Mediaeval town is the Pope’s summer residence. Possibilities of excursions, hikes in the nearby forests and around the lakes of Albano and Nemi.
ALBANO LAKE 1 km At walking distance, the Albano Lake offers an easy walk around its shores. From here you can reach the town of Castel Gandolfo, and come back by road 140.
CASTELLI ROMANI 2-25 km All the historical towns of the zone of the Castelli Romani have manors and palaces of historical interest open to the public. Each town has several festivals where you can try its typical products: bread of Genzano, porchetta of Ariccia, strawberries of Nemi, and the famous wine of Frascati. Local markets for antiques and haberdashery.
ROMA 20 km The indisputable “caput mundi”, with its innumerable architectonical, archeological and artistic attractions.
TIVOLI 35 km Charming mediaeval town, which you can visit the beautiful Renaissance Villa D’Este, and nearby the important archeological site of Villa Hadriana, summer residence of Emperor Hadriano.
